Chelsea MacKay - Director and Playwright
Chelsea began directing at the age of 17, and has worked on shows both in Ottawa and across the United States. She currently works as a social worker in child protection, where she is uses her actor-wrangling experience to help families in need. She is also a regular presenter at New York's annual broadwaycon, combining a love of theatre and literary analysis. A deep love of history lead Chelsea to the creation of Agent Madeleine, particularly a devotion to telling the stories of those considered too different, too radical, and too marginalized to make it into the history books. |
Terry Thompson - Stage Manager
Terry Thompson has been involved in theatre for over a quarter of a century, anything from singing and dancing (Little Mermaid, Evil Dead:The Musical, Chicago, Urinetown) to directing (Virgin and the Horn, Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead) to acting (Arsenic and Old Lace, Macbeth, Trans-Script), to Stage Managing (Actor's Nightmare). He's excited to be part of sharing Noor's story with the Ottawa Fringe Festival crowd. Once Fringe is done, Terry will be producing and directing his first musical, First Date: The Musical in November at Arts Court. |
Astrid Hieblinger-Rempel - Assistant Director
Astrid has been involved in theatre since high school, where she filled multiple roles from actor to line runner to assistant director. While not continuously involved in theatre, she has studied theatre and theatre practises, particularly those of the Renaissance stage. She is excited to be working in local theatre in Ottawa, where she expects she'll be devoting half her time to theatre and half to talking about theatre. |
